about my work

Two central themes prevail in my work: the habits and personalities of the birds and the landscapes of the homes they live in. The natural habitats and timelines expose as much beauty and secrets as the birds themselves.

Shirley Moore Leago fine art paintings and prints of parrots and wildlife

The vibrant and iridescent colors of tropical birds, particularly Macaws, are the focal point of my paintings. I am drawn to their human like qualities, their emotional bonds within their social structures, and their delicate balance with nature. My paintings reveal the secret lives of these birds in their natural habitats, far from the prying eyes and hands of man.
