The Mayan Indians wore feathers and danced in honor of their Gods. I found this young Mayan on a trip to Cozumel. I was intrigued with the painted face and the feather covered young Mayan. Only the native Indians in the area are allowed to use the feathers for their rituals. The use of the Quetzel Bird tail feathers were worn by the Mayan chief only.
